Yes, he's back again, with his wacky conceptual ideas ~ move over, our Tracey!

Ooh, I've just been contacted by a German magazine editor about my show last Summer!  Okay, as part of an article about the iconic effect of Robert Indiana's original work, but it's a form of fame.

At last the article has come out.  And it is only a paragraph in a larger article, which I haven't quite translated yet...

http://www.blondmag.com/cgi-bin/a...2&id=123819966482412131566817

Or, to put it another way...

The iconography of his LOVE symbol was not only cheaply copied however, but it was also for many an inspiration for parody or interpretation. The famous 90's crossover band, Rage Against The Machine used it for the Cover of their album Renegades, only instead of LOVE they used RAGE with a tilted G. The web page of the Scottish artist Dai Lowe, who calls himself a Sunday painter and dilettante, uses it in an interesting and extremely humorous way. He presents the LOVE theme graphically in many languages, among others Thai, Ukrainian, Swahili, Burmese and Greek. Also he has played with the idea in other words like OVER, DONE, NUDE, ROSE, JOKE, which is entertainingly presented on his website, www.lucidity.ltd.uk.

ANd the second clickable pic is a collage of my stuff but turned pink for some reason which must be arty.

At least they give the web reference. I shall be interested to see how many hits there are in the next few weeks. Or emails from rich German widows![/img]

And may I offer the Scottish artist Dai Lowe my congratulations, and wish him more rich German widows than he could shake a stick at (if that's his idea of a good time!)

Latest idea/work in  progress. Now I have to transfer the basic 'story' to a series of printed/hand finished cards and stick them on a loo roll...
